Introduction

Who can apply for GKS Scholarships?
- Completed elementary, middle, or high school, or on track to do so before the arrival date. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is necessary for graduate school.
- The applicant must not be a Korean citizen. His or her parents must be citizens of the nation where they were born. An exemption may be made for parents who have Korean citizenship but reside in Japan under a Special Permanent Residency Permit.
- An applicant cannot be a Korean permanent resident.
