Early Life and Education
Born on January 6, 1982, in Gunnison, Utah, to Bart Ronald and Sunnie Kaye King Brown, Ben was raised in Salt Lake City. He graduated from East High School in 2000, where he was known for his academic excellence and leadership qualities. Ben pursued his passion for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Utah, becoming a member of the Beta Theta Phi Fraternity. His time at the university was marked by intellectual curiosity and the forging of lasting friendships.
Professional Achievements
In 2004, Ben co-founded Mountain West Commercial Real Estate with his lifelong friend, Chad Moore. Under their leadership, the firm gained a reputation for integrity and client commitment. Ben’s creativity and innovative thinking earned him respect within the industry. Despite numerous accolades, he remained humble, often prioritizing meaningful connections over recognition.
Family Life
In 2008, Ben married the love of his life, Taylor Nicolaides, in Salt Lake City. Together, they were blessed with four children: Lila Elise, Eloise Grace, Leo Benjamin, and Etta Elizabeth. Ben was a devoted father, cherishing every moment with his family. He enjoyed collecting coins and Pokémon cards with his children, creating cherished memories.

Legacy and Remembrance
Ben is survived by his wife, Taylor; their children, Lila, Eloise, Leo, and Etta; his parents, Robert and Lilian Brown; his sister, Emily Brown; and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Steven Evans. Funeral services were held on April 12, 2024, at the Bonneville Ward in Salt Lake City, with interment at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
