CLAT Latest News-CLAT exam 2020 will now commence on September 28, 2020. The CLAT consortium made this unanimous decision to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Covid-19 pandemic in recent times is affecting the exam schedule of Common Law Admission Test. Thousands of applicants who are eagerly waiting for the exams will now have to wait till September 28. Consortium have updated CLAT exam date from 28 sept. It is the exam date for both the undergraduates and the postgraduates.

The consortium also declares that the admit card would be movement pass for all the aspirants. As per the covid-19 guidelines, any individual moving from one place to another has to show a movement pass. Thus, the consortium has made it clear that the Admit cards will act as movement pass for applicants.

The common Law Admission test is an aptitude-based test for the aspirants who wish to read law studies in national universities. The exam includes five sections: English, current affairs, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude.

The CLAT consortium conducts this exam to select the eligible students to read at national law universities. Every year thousands of competitors apply for this test. Students prepare themselves from CLAT Mock Test Series to beat all other students.

Eligibility criteria for CLAT 2020

There are some eligibility criteria to appear in the CLAT test of 2020. The aspirants willing to appear CLAT must satisfy the following conditions:

  • All the aspirants must hold a degree from 10+2 or equivalent board. They should pass from state/central board.
  • The students willing to appear CLAT 2020 must obtain at least 45% in their board exams.
  • There is no age restraint to apply for CLAT. Thus, aspirants of any age group can apply for the test.

Section-wise Syllabus for CLAT 2020

Section-1- English 

This section will test your ability in English. The questions in this section relate to large passages and grammar. The grammar sections usually require corrections of errors in passage.

Section-2 General knowledge and current affairs

This section will evaluate your proficiency in general awareness, including general knowledge. You should be up-to-date about the entire national and international affairs to avoid missing questions

Section-3- Quantitative technique

It is a section that offers you questions on elementary mathematic. This means your class 10th mathematics will be in this section. These sections will offer you questions from various topics such as short sets of facts, propositions, and graphs.

Section-4- Legal aptitude

It is a section that carries passages of around 450 words; all these passages would be about legal matters, public policy, questions, and moral inquiries. Candidates without any knowledge can also appear in this section. You just have to read it.

Section-5-Logical reasoning 

This section offers you passages of 300 words. They are usually about relationships, analogy, and logical sequences. All the aspirants need to carefully analyse the questions in this section.
